चिमण्या झाडावरच्या, मुक्तपणे चिवचिव करणाऱ्या
चोचीत चोच देता देता, स्वच्छंदी किलबिलणा-या
मोकळ्या आकाशी, फांदीवर आपलं घरटं बांधणा-या
चिमण्याला समज देत दाणे टिपण्यास जाणाऱ्या

सुपामधील दाणे टिपून भुर्रकन पुन्हा पळणाऱ्या
केरसुणीच्या काड्यांनी घरटं सजवत असणा-या
बाळाला रांगता पाहून पंख फडफडवत हसणाऱ्या
घरटं तोडू नये म्हणून आकांत करत फिरणाऱ्या
अंडी पडून फुटल्यावर शोकाकूल दिसणाऱ्या
दुःख विसरत उमेदीने घरटं पुन्हा बांधणाऱ्या
झुंजत जगायचा मंत्र जगण्यातून देणाऱ्या
अन् काही चिमण्या सोबत्यासाठी कितीही काळ थांबणाऱ्या
रात्र जागून अश्रू पित अंधारात जळणाऱ्या
दुःख विसरत दिवसा उजेडी पोटासाठी पळणाऱ्या
घरातील आप्तांची काळजी करत कण कण झिजणा-या
त्याचे काही बिनसले तर हळूवार फुंकर घालणाऱ्या
मानापमान निमूटपणे सोशिकतेने गिळणा-या
सोबती सोडून गेला तरी स्वत:लाच दोष देणा-या
थोड्याश्या आशेनेही क्षणात पून्हा खुलणा-या
सर खुपच छान कविता आहे चिमणी हा पक्षी सर्वाचा आवडीचा आणि जवळचा नेहमीच अवती भोवती चिव चिव करणारा
